Benefits of ARGA Membership

Membership of ARGA is open to anyone interrested in the Rubus/Ribes industry.  Application for membership should be made on the on-line application form.  A joining fee of $25.00 is payable in the first year together with an annual subscription of $150.00.  Persons applying for membership will be sent an invoice for fees once their application is processed.

Members benefits include:

• Support from the Industry Development Officer
• Fresh produce barcodes for a wide range of Rubus and Ribes berryfruit varieties
• Early access to the selections from the Rubus Breeding program
• 'Member Only' access to the ARGA Website
• Access to the Rubus Integrated Fruit Production Manual and updates, as they become available
• Updates on developments in the Rubus industry through our newsletter 'Round the Rubus';
• Participation, with votong rights, at the Annual General Meeting
• Farm Walks, including the Annual Spring Farm Walk

Rubus Levy

The Rubus industry statutory levy commenced on 1st July 2006.  The levy is collected at the first point of sale for wholesale fresh market fruit.  Wholesalers, market agents, supermarkets and export agents will collect the levy on behalf of growers and send it to Levies Revenue Service. 
The levy applies to fresh market fruit only.

All levy payers are welcome to attend the Annual Levy Payers Meeting to hear reports on previous year’s projects and to provide suggestions for future projects.
