(according to cropping cycle)
Floricane-cropping (FC):- traditional early summer fruiting varieties. They are normally cut-out or pruned after harvest, leaving the current season's canes. These remaining canes may bear tip or maiden fruit in the autumn and a main crop in the next year. Such varieties that regularly crop in autumn are sometimes known as dual-cropping (DC) types
Primocane-fruiting (PF):- late summer or autumn bearing raspberries that bear fruit on the current season's growth. Normally, all the growth is removed after harvest, but altering pruning and/or planting time can vary the ripening time of fruit.
Raspberry Ripening Sequence
This chart is intended as a guide only to the maturity sequence of raspberries. The chart is based on conventional growing practices. Manipulation by cool storage or protected coverings will clearly alter maturity times. Local conditions will also cause some differences. Dates are not specified as warmer areas will be earlier than cooler districts; higher altitude sites crop later than lower altitude.
